Bob Brown, one of the founding members of Snatch, Inc. began his professional career more than 30 years ago in the Wendell Phillips High School Band with his teacher, Dr. Louis Whitworth. His instruments of command include alto, soprano, and tenor saxophone; flute; and Latin percussion.  He continued his stint in the U.S. Army Band and performed in over five countries. While in service, he received private lessons from Cannonball Adderley and, upon completion of his tour of duty, he performed in bands at Crane Junior College and Chicago State University.

Bob fronted his own band BOBBY BROWN & THE APOLLOS and was also cofounder of a band named STREET EXPERIENCE.  He gained even more experience as a member of Red Saunders  Orchestra. Other career highlights include performances with schoolmate Maurice White of EARTH, WIND , & FIRE; Tyrone Davis, Lou Rawls, The Dells, Bobby Rush, Hi-Fi White, Lorenzo Smith and three time Grammy Award Winner Bobby "Blue" Bland. Bob also had the opportunity to perform as the original warm-up band for the Jackson Five.

Bob’s favorite styles of music are classic jazz, blues and ballads to which he brings a sound that is solely his own. His trademark performance sounds include inherited seductive sounds from his native New Orleans, Cajun-flavored spicy solos, funky jazz riffs, and soulful 'below the belt' blues.  Bob is also known for his innovative trailblazing ballad solos that echo traces of his full range of experience.
